Durian Shortcake

Musim Doghoyan.. Doghoyan.. everywhere durians.. and cheap! It has come to the season again..Another version of Shortcake, but with durian flesh hehe.. so I call it Durian Shortcake.

Sedap, tell ya!.. should try baking it.

To make the whipped cream, just mash up some durian flesh and mix it with whipping cream, gelatin, icing sugar, cold water and vanilla. Make sure all is set cold first before layering the cake.

This is basically the Strawberry Shortcake Royale recipe but this is the durian version.

I covered the whole cake with durian fresh cream..heaven.. even if you are a durian-hater.. you will love it this time :)

Piece by piece and then it's gone!!

My girls love strawberries and the fruit has been very special to them.Strawberries are cute too..I start to think that I may have many recipes using strawberries in future.. haha..if not the ingredient.. it will definitely be the decorations.

I'm sure you dont mind to see a lot of it right? Strawberries symbolize the sweetness and soft.. no wonder girls love it..

Truly delicious!

Chocolate and Orange Teacake

I baked Chocolate and Orange Teacake. The preparation I shall say easy and it tasted like super yummy..not sweet just nice and the tangy taste of orange juice mix with chocolate made its taste stands out.

Somehow i skipped the making of chocolate disk and piped the orange choco ganache in the cake..and baked it in a cup cake..The recipe makes abt 16 small cupcakes.

Since Aina is going for a sleepover with her friends, she has requested me to bake for them Shepherd Pie..

All time favourite..!! Moooooooo.....

Durian Cotton Cake aka Bingka Cake

Last night was in the rajin mood, though earlier in the office all my body parts dah rasa macam nak tanggal buat filing and shredding.. not the Girl Friday thang ok.. it's really labour work.. hmm dont they have pity on me.. but still while managing my work my mind keep on thinking on Rima's Durian Cotton Cake.. the picture looks so inviting.. cant take my mind off it.. and also Devil's Brownies Cookies.. i think it's from Rima's too.

So thought of baking it on Monday night but i was so tired , so decided to bake it lastnite.. so there it goes.. after work straight to Jusco supermarket.. bought all the cakey stuff n quickly drove back.. dgn penuh semangatnya.. prepare all the stuff accordingly.. and start baking..

as an impatient baker.. and sometimes bit lazy..hahaha.. but still with the determination to bake.. i started to prepare all the stuff.. but omg..suddenly i realized that i read the recipe wrongly.. i followed the wrong step *sigh* instead of heating the milk and poured it in the egg yolk.. i melt and heated the butter n poured in the egg yolk.. where's the milk??? panic i poured the milk in the butter and egg yolk mix and prayed so hard that it would be ok..

while whisking and mixing.. and praying.. dahhh acuan besar pulak.. it cant fit into my small oven ...haisshhh..*sigh*..

Ohh how I wish for a 52L Intelligent Oven (read that????!) and a Kitchen Aid Mixer so i can bake happily.. i ll then be the happiest baker mom at home nite and day..

so I started to dig everywhere to find a smaller pan.. to fit in my small oven and still praying that my cake will at least baked nicely (since i have actually mixed it wrongly)

Soon as it is in the oven.. i started to stare and wait and stare at it.. tak senang duduk dibuatnya! while praying.. keep on checking..after an hour and 15 mins of having it sitting in the oven.. anddd the results is not bad though.. hahaha.. instead of durian cotton cake.. it turned up to a bingka cake.. moist and soft texture..and the cake camwhoring begins hahaha ... in every position.. .

My Not So Durian Cotton Cake but a Durian Bingka Cake:)

Playing with Fondant

Salam Jumaat and Joyous Friday:)

Nampak tak those cute objects above this post? Those are my kids project on fondant. Mama yg pandai2 buat kids project..:) Well as u know..kids love colors.. though my girls are teenagers i knew they loved playing with colors, decorating and now dough.. nak suruh masak memang la takat basic, goreng telur, nasi goreng, tu ok laa and now Adik is good at making unbaked cheesecake and she add oreo crumbs in it.

Cute kan those fondants on the biscuits.. err but the biscuits are not edible ok..haha.. keras baling dinding pun boleh lengkuk.. so this is solely for viewing purposes not for eating purposes.. :D

and the picture on the right, i did for my dear fren, Gja as her birthday falls on the same day i did this fondant biscuit.. sorry laa darling.. i x sanggup kasi u makan cookies ni so u enjoy viewing je ok.. i knew u love it :)
